With the project, we wanted to make young people aware of the state of the problem of burnout in an international context. Today's fast-paced lifestyle allows an individual little free time to get away from stress and overwork, as a result of which the quality of life deteriorates. Young people are exposed to many additional personal and academic stressors (excessive expectations and demands of parents, increased tasks and work at studies, excessive expectations at work) which can lead to burnout. We therefore wanted to convey the message to young people that they can successfully deal with burnout in simple and different ways. The goals of our project were: knowledge of the negative effects of burnout in young people, empowerment of young people with knowledge about the prevention of burnout, education and awareness of young people and the general public about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, healthy diet, physical activity, knowledge of various strategies for dealing with stress, encouraging the public to a healthy way of life, encouraging and educating young people to play a more active role in their local communities, i.e. to an active civic role, reducing the incidence of burnout with effective strategies for dealing with stress, promoting intercultural dialogue, accepting difference and diversity, strengthening European identity and values among young people, increasing young people's awareness of various Erasmus+ projects, promoting critical thinking, informal learning and various competences (language, communication, organizational and digital competences, creative and analytical thinking, ability to independently and teamwork, strengthening interpersonal and intercultural relations). With the UNITED COLORS OF EUROPE project, we wanted to encourage young people to actively get involved in similar projects of the Erasmus+ program, because this way they acquire many different competencies that will be of great help to them both in finding their first job and in lifelong learning.
