Objectives

Peace as the backbone of this festival has survived all the hardships that have come it's way. Peace is the path and the performing arts are its medium. Peace is built step by step and all those who believe and all those who want can make that change. And after almost 30 years of existence of the Aachen Network for Humanitarian Aid and Intercultural Peacebuilding (hereinafter the Aachen Network), the spirit of the festival lives on in new generations. The festival was created with the help of the Aachen Network, but it is the young people who continue the spirit and tradition. The festival continued to live on. Europe as a community is multiethnic and multicultural and it is natural that we first run into communication problems. The first Bina Mira festival took place 14 years ago, when the Bina Mira Youth Council (hereinafter referred to as the Youth Council) was formed, where many artists and cultural associations used theatrical methods and techniques to remind young people that art is a great method of reconciliation and common language. . Now these young people are the ones who pass on knowledge from generation to generation, today they are many experts and professionals in their field. Their wish was to continue this festival. Their idea is to expand the field of action and to fight other problems that have found us. And their message is: We speak the language of peace. Together we can make a change for a better future, we want to protect our environment. Bina Mira's original goal: "Young people make Europe" - goes beyond national selfishness, and has a stabilizing effect on a Europe in danger of disintegration. Young people are working against the destruction of Europe, gathering all their strength to take the side of all humanity, to protect natural resources, instead of using them to make a better place to live. September 21, as the central date this year, is unfortunately not marked among young people and organized in the traditional way but was a virtual meeting to respect all public health recommendations and to preserve the tradition of gathering around this date. What we wanted to achieve this year: Strengthens communication and exchange of existing and new partners who can look back on the experience of the last 12 years and create new structures: Two new groups have joined the Peace Network and an agreement has been reached for the next Peace Stage - the festival itself will move to Visegrad, a city that evokes emotions, a city that is synonymous with reconciliation, a bridge that connects people. Increased participation and organization of youth exchanges by participants: young people are the ones who make this festival live; And this year they had the opportunity to get to know a new environment, find a common language with other young people; learn, follow the example of Slovenia, how to progress ecologically. The young person is the focus of the present, the contribution of his concrete social, and political problems/experience, in finding effective solutions to the past, living in the present, and shaping the future - they have acquired new knowledge to teach others how to work in the community, protect themselves and their environment, help each other. Critical, thoughtful young people who, despite the communication overload through the media, wanted the meeting to be an instrument, and felt that the exchange was a necessary opportunity because they were in a position to organize and conduct youth meetings. They have shown that they care about the environment, that they care about the future. Facts are exchanged, backgrounds prevail, and events are analyzed to find common ground in comparisons and to crystallize differences.
