The target population of the project was the youth workers who regularly communicate and work with young people. We wanted to address and contribute to the development of critical thinking about the information that the aforementioned youth workers receive through various communication sources and public media about climate change and its impacts, or consequences. What is and was important to us was that youth workers (and young people in general) know how to choose sources of information well and understand and check the credibility of the information they hear, see or read in their surroundings. The goals of the project by holding a seminar for youth workers of several European organizations were: - to teach them about the importance of understanding, filtering and verifying obtained information, - to empower them to effectively communicate about climate change and its impacts, or consequences and - to train them to teach critical thinking skills to the young people they work with or to all target groups, so that these people can then check the content/information themselves and make an informed decision and avoid marketing techniques and/or political ideologies. We set up the project on the basis of the fact that critical thinking allows individuals to create their own views and opinions on various social phenomena and reduces the possibility of blindly accepting the opinions of other stakeholders in society.
