We, the project partners and our young members, are increasingly noticing that young people face many obstacles, many of which also violate their human rights, but are not even aware of it. All participants in the preparation of this project were of the opinion that young people should be more aware of their rights, and it is also very important for them to be aware of when their rights have been violated. Large numbers of young people in the EU may thus find themselves on the margins of society due to violations of their rights and discrimination. These young people are often also less active citizens. That is why we started preparing this project. The topic of human rights of young people is very important and strongly linked to the priorities of the Erasmus + program, as well as the Resolution on the European Union Strategy for Youth 2019-2027, which emphasizes and emphasizes the importance of involved and empowered young people in achieving EU policy goals. the importance of social and civic engagement of young people. Among its goals, the Youth Strategy is to enable young people to develop and grow personally, to encourage young people to become active citizens, to contribute to the elimination of discrimination against young people and to promote the social inclusion of young people. All of these were also the goals of this project, which we achieved thru all project activities. As part of this project, we helped young participants to gain a better understanding of human rights issues. The partners are aware that a single project will not change the habits of young people and the level of their activation. That is why we have also agreed to work on a long-term partnership, in which we will fully address the issue of human rights in the next few years in accordance with the COMPASS handbook. This project was the beginning of this our goal. The project enabled young participants to strengthen and develop their key competencies, acquire new knowledge, skills and abilities. We introduced young people to the importance of planning and recognizing learning effects and recording their acquired competencies. We believe that this is especially important for young people with fewer opportunities. Therefore, we focused on the important inclusion of these. The partners expected that the young participants of the project would become more active in their environment after the completion of the project and that they would be active in youth work and youth organizations, thus contributing to the empowerment of other young people. Many young participants actually became more active in their organizations and in their local environment in general after completing the youth exchange. The project had a positive impact on all participating organizations. We are aware that we, as organizations, must work to broaden our horizons and acquire new knowledge and ideas, which we can then pass on to our young members and support them in facing everyday challenges.
