Objectives

The goals of our project were to encourage participants to have a compassionate attitude towards animals and to show them ways to contribute to animal welfare and protection. The aim was also for participants to acquire and consolidate social skills in an intercultural setting. Our aim was to achieve these goals by organizing group activities for the participants (creative artistic and outdoor activities), social games, where they enhanced social and communication skills. The aim was also to carry out activities with the participants to raise public awareness of the care and welfare of animals. The objectives of the exchange coincided with the objectives of the Erasmus + program, in that they related to the fields of solidarity, respect and coexistence of different cultures and social inclusion, with an emphasis on the critical thinking and initiative of young people. They also touched on the Sustainable Development Goals: - Promoting and promoting active citizenship, European values and a sense of belonging to the local / European / global community and respect for human rights through learning about different cultures through the chosen topic of exchange - Strengthen the international dimension of youth activities and the role of youth workers and organizations (3 partners shared with each other and with us the knowledge of international projects and good practices in youth work with fewer opportunities and animal rights and welfare); - Improve the level of key competences and skills of young people; critical thinking, civic, personality, social and teaching, multilingualism, digital, cultural awareness and expression. - Encourage young people to be involved in the preparation of youth exchange activities through pre-written expectations and pre-preparation activities (including intercultural evenings) and on-going monitoring, feedback-based adaptation to make the learning experience most effective, and encourage the creation of multiplication events in their place of return home.
