We joined this project because we wanted to move forward and improve our work. We wanted to raise the pedagogical standard of the school, enable teachers to develop their potential and thus provide our students with better education. We wanted teachers and school management to be more flexible, self-confident and courageous after they return from mobilities, and to be willing to change the procedures at our school. During their foreign visits, teachers encountered new approaches, forms and methods of pedagogical work. We wanted them not only to familiarize themselves with them and compare them with what is used in our country, but also to have the desire to change and actually use what they have learned. Teaching should thus be modern, more informal and should better meet the needs of our students. By increasing the qualification of teachers, we wanted to contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the school and to be able to attract more students. We wanted teachers, based on personal experience and new contacts, to be able to participate together with students in international projects also within eTwinning. Our school now cooperates with foreign schools even more. It is a modern and open institution which can contribute to understanding between nations. After the participants returned from the mobilities, they have prepared new didactic, methodical or promotional material and shared their experiences. We believe that all those who participated in mobilities can motivate not only their students, but also other colleagues from our school, from other bilingual grammar schools in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and also our colleagues from partner schools abroad, to have a more open approach. The management of our school understands the need to support the international dimension of our school very well. They introduce management methods, procedures that have proven themselves and work well abroad into their work. They are willing to share their experience too. Our school can be a model for other schools in Slovakia and abroad.
