The specific goals of our project were: 1. Modernization and streamlining of school management – by participating in mobility, the headteacher and her deputy had the opportunity to improve their management skills. 2. Improving the quality of work with students with special educational needs – within the framework of inspections of classes in the partner school, we monitored the educational approach to integrated students and ensuring the conditions for their education. 3. Applying the experience and proven practice of the partner school abroad to the life of the school 4. Innovation and modernization of the teaching process – for teachers, we aim to innovate the repertoire of used techniques and methods of teaching their subject. 5. Supporting the personal growth of school staff – developing personal qualities during visits to a partner country by studying its history and culture and visiting historical and cultural monuments. We had also planned to establish friendly contacts with colleagues from the partner school for the purpose of further cooperation. 6. Exchange of experience and information with the partner school and its employees even after the end of the project – e.g., by getting involved in eTwinning projects.
SOŠ J. A. Baťu Partizánske has a high-quality and professional teaching staff, the students are among the successful ones in the region and beyond in various competitions. However, we see the constantly decreasing interest of students in learning as a weak link. The methods used so far are no longer sufficient. Remaining in the existing state may increase dissatisfaction among students and parents, which may lead to a decrease in interest in studying at our school. The teachers themselves feel the need to deepen their knowledge not only through further education but also by exchanging experience with other educators from EU countries, thus modernizing the teaching process. It is therefore time to reassess the current situation and set a new direction for the school in such a way as to eliminate all the negative factors that currently threaten the schools position in the region and make it an attractive school of European dimensions. The school, therefore, planned out the activities of the teaching staff (inspections of classes and teaching in a partner school) over a period of one year, considering the needs of the school and the specific and current needs of the teaching staff and students.
