We wanted to involve the pupils much more in the teaching process and motivate them to learn, we wanted to improve the knowledge of the teachers not only in the field of teaching foreing languages but also in other subjects, we wanted the pupils to learn to connect the knowledge acquired in one subject to other subjects and by getting involved in of this project, we wanted to increase the European awareness of the school, which we succeeded in implementing the international projects Etwinning and Strategic Partnerships abroad. Our goal was to maintain the school's ranking compared to other schools, which we succeeded in doing. The teachers who participated in the mobilities could grow professionally and acquire new knowledge in the field of innovative methods and forms of teaching. After the mobilities, the teachers taught more creatively using ICT technologies and with the new materials they acquired during the mobilities, or were able to create them independently.
We are an elementary school with a kindergarten at Školská 49 in Žilina, Závodie district. We are a school focused on sports, especially football and languages. We want to improve the educational results of our students. We try to teach students to connect knowledge with real life. We teach them to connect knowledge gained in one subject to another subject. We monitor whether the pupils' results are improving. We want to improve our students in testing, in competitions, in the Olympics. We involved six participants in the project, primarily teachers who teach not only the English language but also another subject. It was due to the connection of knowledge within subjects. This process does not last for a short time, but for a longer period of time and cannot be achieved in one year. That is why we want to continue this project in the future in order to fulfill our goal.
