Together with the members of the consortium, we defined 5 key areas we planed to improve through the activities. The areas proposed for hosting and learning activities within the international mobility of teaching staff were: 1. The use of modern pedagogical methods in language teaching, here we planned to send 8 teachers on courses abroad. 2. implementation of new practical skills, knowledge and experience in the teaching of computer science, mathematics and new methods of practical experiments in science subjects (included training of 10 teachers). 3. Advancing inclusive education (for 4 teachers). 4. Improvement in the teaching of artistic subjects (8 teachers will undergo foreign mobility). 5. Modernization and streamlining of school management (three principals will be trained). The participants we planned to involve were the teaching staff of the consortium schools. Except for the gymnasium, in the other schools the teachers did not have experience in participating in foreign training activities, also for this reason we decided to propose only hospitality and training activities in the first stage of the cooperation, which will form a good basis for the next stage of the cooperation.
Our consortium is a group of four schools of different educational levels - pre-school, primary school, secondary school and art school. All four schools of our consortium educate pupils and students of the town and wider region. The schools´ activities are aimed to raise humanistic principles and to share modern theoretical and practical knowledge and skills. Two of the schools are minority schools and pay attention to strengthen national identity and friendly co-living with the majority. In the other two schools they partially teach in Hungarian language, respectively children of Hungarian nationality are being taught there. It is very important for all four institutions to ensure that pupils and students speak the majority language good enough not to have any problems in their further studies in Slovakia. The mission of these schools is to prepare pupils to cope with demanding tasks in their lives, to have a complex physical and mental development, to be able to find their places on the job market, to educate and study in the European Union. That is why we had decided to submit an application as a consortium in order to improve the process of education on our schools.
