By implementing the project, we wanted to achieve the following goals 1. To support the acquisition of professional practical skills by pupils and to enable them to develop professional experience, different procedures to fulfil the profession in other countries Department of service in the tourism industry - to gain an overview of the complex functioning of a travel agency, of the basic and additional services of a travel agency, of the work of a delegate, so that they can organize a domestic and abroad stay. The field of cooking - to acquire knowledge and skills from the technological procedures of preparing dishes of the country and region. Waiter/waitress profession - know how to perform different types of service according to the type of equipment, know how to prepare coffee and tea, draft beer, serve wine. 2. To improve social skills in the area of communication, responsibility for work, in the approach to clients, to strengthen tolerance towards other peoples. 3. To improve the language competence of pupils (according to the country of mobility). 4. To pass on the acquired knowledge, skills and experience of the students completing the internship and accompanying persons to other students in the classes.
The Vocational Secondary School of Gastronomy and Tourism in Nitra has as part of its strategy the organization of student stays as a tool for increasing the professional and language skills of students. The school tries to provide its students with experience from abroad, because the professions of cook, waiter/waitress and tourism depend on knowledge of trends abroad, knowledge of the clientele and transfer of experience from international trends to one's own work. This project gave us the opportunity to fulfill the needs of the school and students. We were glad for the opportunity to sign up for the Erasmus+ project in order to provide students with a stay abroad, where they could improve their professional skills, improve their foreign language, and at the same time improve their human qualities such as tolerance, responsibility and a professional approach to clients.
