We set the goals of the project in accordance with the European Development Plan and the conceptual documents of the school, namely to increase the capacity, attractiveness and international dimension of the school, to expand the network of our partners, to enable participants to gain work and personal experience abroad and thus improve their key competences in attractive regions with developed services. We planned the project for 24 students from 3 study programs in 2 turnuses - Marketing in tourism, Information and telecommunication technologies, Logistics and forwarding and 4 accompanying teachers. These study programs are sectors of the future for the Slovak economy, the Nitra region and the Levice district. We transformed the needs of the participants into leaning outcomes and work programs. As part of inclusion, we wanted and did include 3 disadvantaged students in the mobility - 1 student with learning disabilities (dysorthography), 1 student from a socially disadvantaged environment, 1 student in alternative foster care with cardiovascular health impairment (based on the consent of his physician and legal representative).
Our motivation was the idea "a quality internship in Europe can be the basis for better professional and personal student´s future". We focused on multicultural destinations of Limassol, Cyprus, and Antalya, Turkey, with quality services believing that pupils would acquire new knowledge and skills via informal learning through real-life experience, strengthen their self-confidence, soft skills and competences necessary for personal fulfillment, active citizenship and employability, and gain motivation for lifelong learning. By validating the competences acquired via Europass Mobility, we´d increase students' credibility and chances for a better career. For the teachers and school managers, we expected the improvement of professional, managerial and foreign language skills. The school, receiving/intermediary partners would expand their capacities for internationalization, acquire new foreign partners for long-term cooperation, improve the implementation of EU projects, make their image more attractive. In addition, the school would receive incentives for curricula innovations and increase the interest of elementary school pupils and the public in studies in our school community.
