Objectives

We want to integrate in the European working environment and improve the level of key competences of pupils in view of their importance in the labor market, to ensure the professional growth of pupils. We want to enable students to gain new experience from the real working environment of a modern foreign company, to strengthen synergies and transitions between formal and informal education, vocational training, employment and business. In addition to the professional field, to strengthen the students' self-confidence, their sense of responsibility and independence in organizing their duties, finances and free time. We really wanted to develop the ability of independence and solving the problems. We aslo wanted to achieve the ability to navigate in unknown work environment in another country, which will help them in their search for work in the future not only on the Slovak but also on the international labor market and to acquaint pupils with the cultural heritage of the Czech Republic. After completing the mobility, the students received the internationally recognized Europass certificate. We established new contacts within the framework of project cooperation with partner organizations from EU countries.

Background

After previous experiences, we decided to respond to the challenge and we joined the project in which we decided to involve students from the departments of operator of operation and transport economy, mechanic electrician and safety systems in transport. One of the reasons was that our students had the opportunity to use their acquired professional knowledge in practice in companies abroad in order to expand it with new experiences. Another reason for participating in the project was to increase interest in the study of these fields at our school. A very significant motivational element was also that the students had to work independently, to learn to make their own decisions in crisis situations, to be led to greater responsibility and tolerance towards other people. We also emphasized that they have effectively organized free time, during which they get to know the cultural heritage of towns and cities of Czechia. It was by organizing these free time activities that we tried to strengthen the relationships between students. Last but not least, the reason for participating in the project was receiving the Europass certificate after successfully completing the mobility, which the students will be able to prove in the future when looking for a job.
