Our objective were; - opening up a educational perspective about state socialism at the annual conference of BASEES. Our active participation and organising of a panel in coordination with colleagues from the Department of Education at the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes contributed to this objective. - regural and active participation of Slovak educators at the annual conference of EuroClio with the support of E+ program. We have achieved this in the year 2022 (we have invitation for 2023 workshop facilitation based) and from 2024 we plan a regular and active participation. - Provide our educators with opportunities for professional development a thus development of their competencies and skills (such as universal design for learning, historical thinking, formative assessment as part of inquiry based learning and teaching, development of accessible and open educational materials). Further development of educational materials. Outputs are accessible via links in attached reports (they contain activities based on integated thematic teaching, contructivist and connectivist pedagogy and active learning).
We were looking for high quality and professional development opportunities for our educators. We had two qualitative criteria (high quality and professional development opportunities). That's why BASEES, one of the most prestigious global academic conferences. Sets trends in many areas. However it was lacking a strong educational perspective and discourse about state socialism education. At the same time we chose EuroClio's annual conference, the biggest forum for civics and history education. This conference is attended by practising teachers, educators, didacticians, historians and researchers. CEDIN is still the only regular and active participant from Slovakia (actively and regularly in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022). Our objective was to eplore the options of E+ financing and regular active participation not just for CEDIN educators, but for active members and associated teachers as well.
