We wanted to implement and develop our internationalization strategy and develop our students' soft skills, work habits and multicultural awareness. We know the importance of our membership in the EU, so we wanted our pupils to experience the EU labour market. Other goals that we wanted to fulfil were linking theory with practice, continuous involvement in international projects, development of the school's international relations, increasing the quality of the vocational education and training provided, motivating students to complete their studies and successful employment on the labour market, improving students' language skills. As a side effect, we wanted to increase interest in studying at our school.
We applied for this project to fulfil the internationalization strategy of our school. Every submitted project makes us visible in the eyes of the public and those interested in studying at our school. Thanks to the regular foreign mobilities, the school has built a good name among other secondary schools in the Žilina Region and throughout Slovakia. Our effort is to continue to build our good name, as we have joined the dual education system, and some of the employers who expressed interest in cooperation with our school learned about us thanks to the dissemination of project activities within the Erasmus+ program. Every year, during open days and in first-year classes, we encounter enormous interest from students in participating in professional practice abroad, which motivates us to apply for the projects, because this is the only way the school can maintain its stable position among the competition. For a long time, we have received positive feedback from mobility participants, while some of them ask about the possibility of completing another mobility after returning from mobility. We also have many years of experience with Erasmus+ projects, which encouraged us to continue on this successful path.
