Countries: SK · Grant: €28,121

Objectives

The primary objective of the project was to build on previous cooperation with foreign partner organizations in the framework of the mobility of learners and employees in VET and thus enable students to acquire valuable knowledge and practical skills in the dual education system at the international level. The goal was to increase the quality of vocational education of learners and to enrich them with personal foreign experience, which will help our graduates apply in the domestic and foreign labour market. Last but not least, the development of language skills and social competences through foreign experience will be reflected in our students and later in their personal lives, which we perceive as an added value of Erasmus+ mobility in the long term. The need for further education and the strengthening of the competences of pedagogical staff, who are the guarantors of the quality of the educational process, are closely related to the improvement of the quality of the education of pupils. For that reason, it was also our goal to send a pedagogical employee to an educational activity - training, who will then present the acquired experience to other teachers. In the long term, we also expect proposals for changes in education.

Background

Our school has a long-standing experience with foreign mobilities of students within Erasmus+ projects in VET (vocational education and training). In project 2020-1-SK01-KA116-077819, the primary objective was to build on previous cooperation with foreign partner organizations in the Czech Republic and Germany and so enable our students to improve their knowledge and skills in the field of vocational education and enrich them with international experience in VET. Our school focuses on educating students primarily for the automotive industry of the 21st century. Within the improvement of the professional profile of the school's teaching staff, the improvement and expansion of professional didactic competences, it was planned to send one professional staff member of the school for job shadowing, specifically in the field of auto professions education. The acquired knowledge, new didactic methods and procedures within the framework of theoretical and practical professional education will be presented to other colleagues. At the same time, it was an opportunity for the school to acquire new contacts for potential future projects within the framework of Erasmus+.
