The goal that the school wants to achieve in the field of international projects is to continue to integrate students' professional internships into educational programs with full recognition as part of the teaching process. The goal of student mobility is that a student who achieves above-average results in his/her field of study can complete a professional internship during his/her studies as part of practical preparation for the profession. The project does not forget the teachers. Especially in professional subjects, opportunities for further education of teachers in the field of electronics, mechatronics, information technology, economy and business are significantly absent. Therefore, an important goal was to support the professional growth of teachers of specialized subjects and enable them to gain a new perspective in their field within the framework of job-shadowing. Thanks to our reliable partners, our goals were met despite significant global restrictions on the movement of people caused by the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. We signed up for the Erasmus+ project with the aim of realizing the physical mobility of pupils. Despite the fact that the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic has also changed the way of conducting professional internships, our goal remained to carry out the internships physically according to the original plan.
The project "European mobility - education, experience and practice" fulfils the action plan of project activities for the years 2016 - 2020, which the Secondary Vocational School Handlová, as a holder of the Charter, set in its internationalization strategy. That is why it joined the Challenge 2020 to enable students to complete part of their professional training at the workplaces of project partners. At the same time, it supported the possibility of professional growth of teaching staff and the possibility of innovation of curricula and educational programs. SOŠl Handlová has therefore updated the offer of study fields. It has included fields focused on information and communication technologies in the offer, the educational program is taught in English, it participates in projects focused on the infrastructure and material security of the educational process. These activities are also significantly supported by the Erasmus projects in activities KA1 and KA 2, in which the school is regularly involved and has been successfully implemented since 2000. The Erasmus+ project in Challenge 2020 was the last project that the school carried out as a holder of the VET Charter. In the Mobility Plan for the years 2016-2020, which was an annex to the Charter, it planned to send 172 pupils and 28 teachers on mobility. In fact, 234 pupils and 30 teachers completed physical mobility during this period. The established plan was fulfilled.
