With the advancement of science and technology, pupils increasingly prefer ICTs and technology (such as TV, mobile phone, PC etc.) and that’s why they are losing their positive attitude toward cultural values. Our aim is to develop and strengthen the value of the European Cultural Heritage (ECH). The cultural heritage connects Europe through common history and values. It also represents the richness and diversity of our cultural traditions, which we need to understand, respect and celebrate. However, cultural heritage is not only a reflection of the past, but it also helps us shape our future and connect people, what contributes to a more cohesive society. In addition, it promotes growth of the country and creates workplaces in cities and regions. It is a key to the relation between Europe and the rest of the world. It has a huge potential for Europe. Also, teachers are important in developing ECH. The personality of teachers is a decisive factor in educating pupils to positive attitudes not only to themselves but also to other nations and society. The way of teaching is directly dependent on the knowledge and skills of teachers to create an appropriate educational environment and to choose effective educational means which ensure optimum results. Cultural heritage brings people together and contributes to a more cohesive society. It promotes growth and creates jobs in cities and regions, it is crucial for Europe's relations with the rest of the world. It represents a huge potential for Europe. An important factor in the development of ECH is the teacher himself. The teacher's personality is a decisive factor in educating children to have the right attitudes not only towards themselves, but also towards other nations and society. The method of teaching directly depends on the knowledge and skills of the teacher. The role of the teacher in the process of developing ECH in pupils was to create a suitable educational environment. We discovered that cultural heritage surrounds us at every step in the architecture of our cities and towns, but also in nature, we find it in literature, music and fine arts, in the crafts handed down to us by our ancestors, or in the stories we tell our children, in the food we enjoy and in the movies we watch and in which we get to know each other. Cultural heritage unites us in its diversity. Thanks to technology and the Internet, now we have better access to it than ever before and can appreciate its local, national and, at the same time, common European character. The project had 4 main themes: music, art, dance, song. Each partner school was responsible for one topic Portugal/music/Music, Czech Republic/art/Art, Slovakia/dance and Spain/Song =MADS. Through the implementation of the MADS project, the students got to know the cultural heritage of the four participating countries, we focused on music, art, dance and song.
