Objectives

Discrimination and intolerance is a common issue in Europe. All manner of groups and individuals around Europe came together in European-wide Action Week Against Racism in 2019 and organized intercultural events to combat with any form of discrimination and intolerance. Hence, we, some NGO’s and informal groups from Slovakia, Turkey, France, Romania, Greece and Spain, decided to organize a youth exchange with the collaboration of international partners to raise awareness of youth about discrimination and intolerance and establish an intercultural dialogue among them through music. The objectives of the project are as follows; • To increase the knowledge and skills of the participants in subjects of culture, cultural diversity, the ways of discrimination and intolerance, intercultural dialogue and to encourage them to take an active role in their communities, • To improve participants' musical, intercultural, creative thinking and teamwork skills in order to increase their employability in the European labour market, • To encourage participants to explore the potential of music in combating with intolerance and discrimination and encourage them to use music as a medium to promote cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue in society, • To inform participants about the functionality of the Erasmus+ and youth mobility and to encourage them to take part in other projects and cooperate in the future.
