We wanted to achieve these goals: FOR THE USAGE OF E-LEARNING TOOLS: 1- To learn e-learning tools and thus enhancing the quality of the education, Seeing the best practice and practical examples 2- To learn the usage of e-learning tools in preparing activities for developing cooperative learning, researching and especially Creativity, 3- To make sample lessons which can be completed by students with e-learning tools, various content-spesific tools and web 2.0 tools, 4- To provide active use of e-learning tools by students, 5- To entegrate new strategies, learning tools and technology into lesson plans, 6- To share new competences with our collegues in Kastamonu via seminars and workshops, FOR INTERNATIONALISATION: 1- To make and manage successful projects for national agency and other institutions giving international grants 2- To make qualified international projects and associate them with education, 3- To develop a successful collaboration with collegues from abroad and to make a communication network, 4- To introduce our institution and Project via etwinning platform
Kastamonu Science and Art Center is an institution which gives education to gifted students. It is a known fact that usage of ICT in the education of the gifted is crucial. Our teachers’deficiency in transfering ICT to classroom environment was detected. For that reason, School Development Team(SDT) made some studies. As a result of SDT’s studies, a need for an international project has come to existence. Our Project Digital Transformation with E-learning is about enhancing teacher competencies in the education of the gifted through e-learning and ICT. The education in our school is going to be more qualified with the usage of e-learning tools, the vision and mission of the school are going to gain strength with new competencies, the prestige is going to enhance, and the institution is going to be internationalised. Our teachers who increased their vocational competencies will create digital classrooms with e-learning tools. This is going to impact the students’ creative,critical thinking abilities. Parents are also going to be affected by these positive change. In the long run, Digital Transformation with E-learning Project is going to internationalise our school, enhance teacher competencies, to raise education quality.
