Background

It has been observed that bullying is an important problem for our school. As a result of the SWOT analysis and surveys, 55% of our teachers stated that they wanted to receive training on combating bullying.41% of our students stated peer bullying and 37% stated digital addiction as the reason for failure.Another survey on bullying was conducted and 62% of our students stated that they were bullied; 38% exhibit bullying behaviors, 75% are online for at least 4 hours a day, 32% are exposed to cyberbullying; 22% of them stated that they are a cyberbully and 57% of them have witnessed bullying. As a result of the evaluations for the students, it was determined that the academic success of the bully and victim students decreased, they had problems of absenteeism, harmony and belonging, and they lost their self-confidence over time.Trainings conducted by Provincial RAM were received, “Peer Mediation and Peace-Making Leadership Project”; but the results were not sufficient. The main reasons for applying for this project are that our students are negatively affected by the short and long-term consequences of the problems that arise due to bullying, and that our teachers do not have enough professional equipment to solve this problem.
