Objectives

To ensure that information and documents are followed up through a different module. To ensure that the quality of educational life of individuals with special needs, whose development and follow-up are not as standardised as normal students, is improved by structuring the updates in the data in a systematic way. To ensure that all diagnoses, achievements, family status and important changes related to the special education student are included in a systematic module that can be accessed by the RAMs making the diagnosis and guidance, the schools planning and realising the education and the parents working together at every stage of the education; to facilitate re-diagnosis, evaluation and guidance and the planning of the education of the student who is re-diagnosed every year. We aim to bring the module to an applicable level that will ensure the reliability of the correspondence that takes place on paper in unnecessary and long processes and by serialising all the work and transactions in the process, and will provide a structuring in education that is only suitable for the development of the student with real and up-to-date objective data in a timely manner and will support the achievement of social cohesion, which is the main goal by increasing the quality. Thanks to the project, the participants will be able to support the work of this module, which we plan to be functional as a result of the constructive course and on-the-job observation mobility at EU standards, and at the same time develop a different perspective on language and professional development and education of individuals with special needs. To increase the tolerance of our participating teachers to different cultures thanks to the project, to support their development by increasing their awareness in their personal development.

Background

While planning our project, we realised that there is a lack of a system for monitoring and evaluating the development of special education students and recording these developments in our country. The inability to access valid and consistent information about the student's past achievements, the level of differentiation due to special needs, previous health board reports and family history makes diagnosis, re-diagnosis and guidance processes difficult and causes loss of time. The basis of our project idea is that there is no systematic study and module on monitoring and evaluating the development of special education students in our country. In the questionnaires applied to our teachers and RAM employees, our teachers and RAM employees revealed the deficiency in this regard. For the development of our teachers, who expressed their desire to receive training on the subject in the questionnaires applied, the scarcity of studies on the subject in our country has caused us to turn to resources abroad. At the end of the project, our participant teachers, who are involved in structured course activities and on-the-job observation at the end of the project, gain awareness about monitoring and evaluation of the development of special education students, master different approaches to monitoring and evaluating the development of special education students as a result of on-the-job observation and structured course activities, and work to develop a module to be used for students with special needs.
