Background

In line with the Digital Agenda in the EU 2020 Strategy and our school's 2019-2023 strategic goals; in order for our students to keep up with innovations in the digitalizing world, to follow technological developments closely and to use technological tools correctly in accessing information, we need to guide them correctly and inform them about the safety precautions they need to pay attention to when using these tools, the negative situations they may be exposed to. According to the results of the "Cyberbullying Awareness" survey that we applied to 30 teachers in our school in June 2019, it was revealed that 85% of our teachers do not have enough knowledge about dealing with cyberbullying and internet security. In order to eliminate this deficiency and to raise awareness of our students about cyber security and cyberbullying, our teachers needed to develop themselves and to have sufficient knowledge by receiving the necessary training on these issues. This project was applied in order to provide our teachers in our school with the necessary knowledge and skills about Internet security and cyberbullying, to guide our students, parents and the whole society in the right way, and to create an international awareness on these issues.
