Background

At the end-of-year general success evaluation meeting of our school, while examining the course analysis of the classes, the differences between the class general success averages of the teachers who entered the same level of classes and processed the same curriculum in many courses attracted attention and a commission was formed to investigate the reasons for this situation and to produce solutions, and a survey on Professional Competence was conducted with all teachers by this commission. With this survey, the Guidance Department revealed the deficiencies and weaknesses of 48% of our teachers in terms of Professional Knowledge-Skills-Attitudes and Values and stated that these aspects should be developed and presented the Peer Coaching Model as a solution. However, to create and implement Peer Coaching in our school, it was necessary to provide our teachers with knowledge, skills, and development related to this model and they needed training on Coaching knowledge and methods. However, we decided to present this project because of the inadequacy of the in-service pieces of training provided in our country and the fact that this model is effective in the professional development of teachers in Europe.
