It has been determined that the teachers of our school need job shadowingprogramme in two successful schools at the European level in the application of mathematics activities before the project is prepared. In this context, the goals we wanted to achieve by implementing the project were; Teachers of our school should improve themselves in mathematics studies Creating an activity pool by enabling preschoolers to learn more about activities to be done with concrete actions in math activities Comparison of our school mathematics activities of two European countries that can be an example for us Supporting the personal and professional development of teachers participating in job shadowing mobility Having experienced in Erasmus+ projects With this project, as an institution, our goal is to internationalize, which is included in our strategic plan and which we want to achieve, and to develop and support teachers' foreign language proficiency
The preschool period is one of the most important stages, even the most important, in mathematics education. Fear/anxiety of mathematics in preschool age has not yet developed It is one of our duty, as pre-school teachers, to endear the concepts of mathematics, which are abstract for preschool children, without scaring them. Based on this responsibility, we wanted to introduce the playful, fun, beautiful face of mathematics to our students and ensure that they are interested and willing to learn concepts related to mathematics. In this project, which we carried out for these purposes, as preschool teachers, job shadowing activities were planned in order to correct our deficiencies in Mathematics education and to have the opportunity to see different applications related to the subject on the spot. According to this project, with the help of job shadowing activities made in European kindergartens - to be able to increase the experience and knowledge of our teachers by seeing sample applications on the subject on the spot -To learn different examples of mathematics applications and to be able to transfer to our school, -As a kindergarten, to be able to be a kindergarten with a high awareness of mathematics activities in the preschool period -As an institution included in the strategic plan and we want to reach, “internationalization” and the aim of Foreign Language among teachers develop their skills and support to achieve their goals, the participating teachers of English language skills, especially speaking and communication skills to enhance, To be able to develop the social skills and interpersonal communication skills of the participants, -To be able to develop the team spirit and teamwork skills of teachers as a school -We applied to the Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education Human School project “Mathematics with Endearing Games” activity pool in order to support the European project with the results
