* To increase teachers' foreign language skills * To acquire the necessary gains to apply the Clil method. * To increase the academic success of students by overcoming their shyness in the classrooms where this method is used and enabling them to use English in extracurricular foreign language lessons. * Implementing an Etwinning project on Clil with the achievements. * To write and manage an Erasmus+ KA2 project with the gain and competence we gained from this project. (This goal will not be realized for the time being as it requires the national education directorates to obtain an accreditation for project implementation as of 2021.)
Speaking a foreign language is very important in the personal, social and professional development of individuals. Therefore, in order to increase the rate of foreign language learning, all EU citizens have at least one foreign language learning criterion in addition to their mother tongue. Although an individual in foreign language teaching in our country learns English for a large number of hours from primary school to high school, the English skills level is below the desired level. The main reason for this seems to be that are not used English in different disciplines and that the exposure time to English is limited to English lessons. Due to the limited use, students are also shy in using English in their class. Even a student who knows English well avoids using English in different disciplines for this reason. In this project, we wanted to ensure that the principles of the Clil method, which seems like a good way to use English in lessons other than foreign language lessons, are learned by our teachers and applied in their lessons.
