Objectives

Our objectives include improving the quality of education in our school to the level of Education 4.0 by enhancing the technological infrastructure, ensuring the effective use of information and communication technologies in educational processes, increasing productivity by imparting new skills, enabling our teachers to proficiently use Industry 4.0 tools in vocational education, preparing and delivering training programs on the use of Industry 4.0 tools within the scope of in-service training for vocational education teachers in our province, region, and country. Additionally, we aim to use Industry 4.0 tools in practical training and equip learners with skills and competencies in digital technology. Furthermore, we aim to contribute to the training of technicians who can perform preventive maintenance in Industry 4.0-compatible technologies, quickly resolve basic level faults, actively participate in teams leading the transition of businesses to Industry 4.0 technologies, and generate solutions to problems.

Background

Within the framework of our vision to be a pioneer in vocational and technical education, our school has focused on Industry 4.0, which is a 21st-century technology. As part of Industry 4.0, our goals include monitoring physical processes with cyber-physical systems in modular smart factories, creating a virtual copy of the physical world, and facilitating decentralized decision-making. Our school has prepared and implemented many projects since 2004, including training for managers and teachers, establishing quality systems, equipment support, developing curriculum programs, and similar activities. In this context, it is aimed to increase the capacity of our school in project management through job shadowing and training to enhance the competencies of our teachers. With the development of our institution's capacity, we aim to create environments where Internet of Things and cyber-physical systems can communicate in real-time with each other and with humans, fostering collaboration. Equipping our school workshops and laboratories with Industry 4.0 tools and ensuring that our staff can use these tools proficiently in educational activities are part of our objectives. Therefore, we applied for this project to enhance our capacity in Industry 4.0.
