Background

Roof solar panel systems in Edirne has been in great demand in recent years because of that increasing energy prices and clean resources played an important role in the choice. Due to the fact that our city is the border city, Greek and Bulgarian tourists are visiting our city and they pay great attention to the cheap solar panels in our country. In fact, companies from Turkey go to Greece and Bulgaria, which are very close, and make installation. However, these companies come from Istanbul not Edirne. They demand graduates from our schools to employ them so that they can open an office in the area. While our vocational high school students had difficulty in employment, a workforce deficit occurred in the roof solar panels installation sector. Because there is no renewable energy field in any of the vocational high schools in our province. Our students need to develop their skills in this sector through practice and internship. Therefore, it is aimed to increase the employment of our graduates in electrical-electronics, machinery and metal fields due to the close proximity to solar panel installation. Therefore, the practice, knowledge and skills of our students will be developed through internships in Europe, thus increasing their employment. All vocational schools in our province face similar problems. For this reason, a project has been prepared by establishing a consortium together with 6 other vocational schools under the leadership of Edirne Provincial Directorate of National Education, which is the top management unit of all schools in our province
