- To give knowledge and skills to our students according to the needs of railway systems sector, to make our students sought-after individuals in the sector, to make their employment easier in national and international level enterprises. -To integrate our students into Europe academically and culturally. -To educate our students as individuals who have the quality to contribute national and international development, who can adapt themselves developing technology and who can meet European Union standards. -To make partnerships abroad to have vocational and technical training opportunity, to continuate our students’ internships abroad, to make long-term internship agreements with our partners. -To continuate the interaction between our school and the sector. -To create an environment where our school and the local sector take place and where good practice examples can be developed in the context of education-employment-production. -To raise the awareness of our students about the necessity of learning a foreign language and to raise their foreign language proficiency to the highest level. -To create an organisational culture about preparing EU projects and to maintain its continuation.
Since high-speed train lines were made and existing conventional lines were modernized with signalisation and electrification systems in our country, Akçaray tram line was extended in our city, Gebze – Darıca metro line was completed and it is required to be operated effectively, we need qualified personnel. As a result of big investments that were made in our country and in our city, employment need in railway systems has increased and qualified workforce is required. In our city, there is not any other school that gives Railway Systems Technology education. Therefore, we have high responsibility. We are applying for the project to give necessary knowledge and skills to our students who are going to be employed in the sector, to help them to adapt themselves developing technology and to make contribution to educate them as qualified individuals who meet European Union standards. The main aim of our project is to integrate our students into Europe academically and culturally and to educate our graduates, who are going to be employed in institutions and organisations in our region, to have the qualifications to contribute to the regional development and to meet the needs of the enterprises.
