Background

Hatay is a multicultural and multi-religious city where civilizations live together. It has a rich cuisine with its cultural heritage, a cuisine that brings together people and civilizations from different cultures and religions living within its borders. It has rich resources in the fields of marine tourism and gastronomy tourism. However, despite these opportunities of our city, insufficient tourism infrastructure, insufficient existing facilities, and the inadequacy of educational institutions that train qualified manpower for the development of the tourism sector constitute a major obstacle to the development of gastronomy tourism. We have created a structure that will increase the number of foreign students who can meet the workforce needs of the sector in vocational and technical education, adapt to the developing technology, and actively participate in the planning and decision-making processes of the stakeholders. Since it is thought that it will contribute to each of our goals and provide the qualifications expected from our students, a consortium to be established with vocational high schools under our directorate has been needed for European mobility.
