Within the scope of 2023 Export Targets, the first stage of Köseköy Logistics Center, which was built by TCDD on an area of 692 thousand m2 in our province, was put into service in 2019 and domestic and foreign large logistics companies started to serve here. Accordingly, the need for logistics personnel in Köseköy Logistics Center has increased. Railway connection of Yarımca Port, one of the most modern ports of Turkey, was established on 30 July 2019. These investments have increased the density of logistics services in our province. The increase in logistics activities has created new employment areas and increased the need for personnel. According to the needs analysis conducted by İşkur by visiting 2,906 workplaces in Kocaeli, logistics is one of the occupations with the highest employment growth. In order for our students to be employed, they must have the knowledge and skills demanded by the sector in the Logistics Field. Our students go to internships in their last year, but most of our students do internships in customs consultancy companies instead of logistics services companies. 30% of them work in small shipping companies. Therefore, our students do not have the knowledge and skills demanded by the industry. Therefore, it was necessary to realize this project.
