The results we want to achieve by implementing the project are as follows at the level of students, teachers and partner institutions: A. IN TERMS OF STUDENTS; 1- To increase their professional knowledge and experience in the field of electric vehicles and charging stations, 2- To follow the developments in Europe in our field, new equipment, techniques and applications their recognition, 3- Training technical personnel with the features required by the age in the field of electric vehicles and charging stations, 4- In addition to the knowledge of electric vehicles, in accordance with international standards and principles, the trained personnel stations, gaining infrastructural information, project design and installation. development, 5- Developing the self-confidence of newly graduated students with their working environment and abroad experience 6- Working and opening a business in the field of electric vehicles maintenance and charging stations supporting entrepreneurship, 7- Especially the development of professional foreign language, 8- Introducing the business discipline and business culture in the European dimension, 9- Certification of the students of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Technology at a level recognized by EU countries, 10- In particular, providing students with the opportunity to progress in an up-to-date profession that is open to self-development, B. IN TERMS OF STAFF (TEACHERS); 1- By presenting teachers with a collection of teaching materials in which they can develop their expertise, in workshops to ensure their effective use. 2- It is aimed to teach participating teachers that they will both use in the workshop environment and create new project ideas. an environment/training opportunity will be provided. 3- Electricity and Electronics Technology department with field knowledge, maintenance and repair of electric vehicles, charging stations and energy management information will be integrated. 4- Technical and daily English proficiency of technical personnel will be increased. 5- The number of experts in electric vehicles, charging stations and energy management will be increased locally. 6- An active network will be created in our project subject with expert staff. C. BY OUR PARTNERS AND OUR INSTITUTION; 1. Establishing regional and international partnerships, developing and strengthening existing ones. 2. To take part in different projects related to the subject, 3. It is expected to determine and raise the quality standards in vocational education.
While the total number of electric vehicles in Turkey is around 2,000, over 200 thousand electric vehicles were sold in China alone in 2019. In the same year, 110 thousand electric vehicles were sold in Europe. Considering that our country, which imports almost all of its fuel needs and meets 45-50 percent of its electricity production with domestic resources, for now, and that our foreign dependency in electricity generation will be eliminated, especially with SPPs and WPPs that will be activated in the medium-long term, the increase in the demand for electric cars in our country. can be seen to be very important. Boğaziçi University Energy Policy Research Center (EPAM) President and Industrial Engineering Department Lecturer Prof. Dr. Gürkan Kumbaroğlu and Researcher Dr. According to the research titled “Climate Change and Electricity Demand Effects Projection of Electric Vehicles in the Turkish Transportation Sector” conducted by Zafer Öztürk, 65% of individuals in our country reveal that they may consider purchasing electric vehicles. The use of electric vehicles in our country (Petroleum, Liquefied Petroleum Gas LPG, Natural Gas), which takes most of its energy from abroad, will provide serious benefits to Turkey's energy budget. The importance of the plans and policies required for the correct and healthy use of energy resources is increasing and the energy supply reaches serious dimensions. The number of qualified technical personnel related to electric vehicles and charging station technologies in our country is almost non-existent, and the number of electric cars in Turkey has reached 833 with 176 sales in the first 11 months of 2019 (https://www.enerjiatlasi.com/haber/turkiye). number-in-electric-cars, 2019). According to research, the number of electric vehicles in our country will increase 56 times in four years and reach 140 thousand, and the number of charging stations will reach 14 thousand with an increase of 35 times in five years (https://arastirma.boun.edu.tr, 2019). While vehicle charging station installation requires some technical calculations and designs, battery, electric motor etc. For the maintenance and repair of such equipment, technical personnel who are trained in this field, have a technical infrastructure and have the ability to apply are required. The priority of our project application is to train these technical personnel and to increase the knowledge, skills and experience of our teachers who will train technical personnel. At this point, other reasons for our project application are as follows: 1. Organization of internship training abroad in the field of electric vehicles of the participants of the Vocational Education phenomenon in enterprises to develop with 2. The technical language used in the field of electric vehicles (motors, bicycles, automobiles, tractors) and technologies will be assimilated by the beneficiaries through this project, and it will be a driving force for self-education and renewal, 3. Employment of learners after their graduation (to be able to work in the maintenance and repair of electric vehicles (TOGG) to be produced in Turkey, as well as in the production process), 4. The necessity of developing a professional foreign language for professional development, 5. Contributing to the development of learners' self-confidence, 6. Training of competent personnel in the field of electric vehicles and charging stations, 7. The competencies of individuals receiving vocational training should respond to local, regional, national as well as international conditions, and vocational education institutions and programs should be of international quality. In order to achieve this quality, it is the training of the personnel who will provide training on electric vehicles and charging stations, which have attracted rapid attention in recent years, and gaining the necessary qualifications.
