Our project is to enable a total of 9 foreign language teachers from 9 public education centers, which are members of the consortium, to participate in foreign course activities and complete local activities in order to carry out the education and training activities related to the development of methods, techniques, skills and competencies in foreign language teaching of Adult Education Teachers in our province. foreseen to be done. With these activities, it is aimed to increase the quality of existing language teaching services in order to provide education and training opportunities at international level and in accordance with standards for adult individuals who continue their course training to learn foreign languages in our consortium member public education centers. The most important sub-target to achieve this goal; Increasing the qualifications of our foreign language teachers working in the public education centers in the aforementioned city center and districts in terms of language teaching to adults, and thus improving the foreign language education activities in our public education centers and increasing the quality. In line with this sub-target, our teacher, who works in adult education, participated in foreign course activities. After this training, seminars, workshops and meetings were held for other teachers in their own public education centers, and it was aimed to achieve a significant improvement in the capacity of the center to continue its adult education activities as a whole. The goals we want to achieve in our project are as follows. -To enable our teachers to develop their own foreign language speaking skills and experience. -The objectives and achievements determined for speaking skills of our teachers are at the level of adult learners. bring it to a level where it can evaluate its suitability. -Developing drama techniques in which our students can use the foreign language, and using this language in their classroom environment. to enable them to speak. -To provide our teachers with gains about assessment and evaluation for the assessment of speaking skills.
Our project is about increasing the professional development of English teachers working in these education centers by being included in the consortium membership of the public education centers in Kırıkkale center and its eight districts. Although the demand for after-school foreign language education for adults is increasing day by day, the cost of private foreign language courses in the city center and the lack of private foreign language courses in our districts direct adult individuals to the public education center for foreign language learning. Our teachers working in our Public Education centers received training on foreign language teaching to students in formal education during their university years. These teachers do not have the knowledge and experience of the necessary skills, methods and techniques in foreign language teaching for adults. This situation causes adult learners who cannot gain a foreign language in their formal education, do not reach the desired quality and level in the foreign language education they receive in our public education centers. In the interviews with the teachers and learners, it was determined that the foreign language teaching in adult education was insufficient.
