The goals we want to achieve with this project are as follows; In order to better understand the psychological and social conditions of retirees, to see the good practices and innovative approaches in Europe and to transfer them to our country, To ensure that our teachers and master trainers acquire androgogic and professional gains, Increasing the competencies of our teachers and master trainers in fields such as gardening and growing ornamental plants, healthy living and jewelry design abroad, Developing a dialogue between teachers working in institutions and organizations providing adult education in Europe and teachers and master trainers working in our center, While retirees are being rehabilitated with adult education courses, our center's teachers and master trainers have learned the life coaching system, which is popular in Europe and has become widespread in our country, and started to use it in their professional lives.
Individuals who have spent a significant part of their lives working can not continue this job for various reasons, and as a result of their withdrawal from working life, individuals have to change their way of life until that time. The status, prestige, etc. gained by the working life. With the inability to feel emotions, individuals experience role confusion. Retired individuals who fall into this situation prefer to live a self-centered life by isolating from the society or to seek new ways to be useful to the society again. The needs of retired individuals to re-benefit to the society or to maintain their lives in an integrated manner without being separated from the society can be fulfilled through adult education within the scope of lifelong learning activities. In our country, there are no studies on the access of retired individuals to lifelong learning activities. In addition, there is no plan to benefit from the past work experience of retired individuals. Based on all these situations, the most important reason for us to apply for this project is that the teachers and master trainers of Akyurt Public Education Center, which is an adult education institution, receive training in order to better understand the retirees and enable them to communicate with them correctly.
