As in the whole world, the European Union took the necessary steps to adapt to the economic process depending on the developing and changing global conditions. The most important of these steps was unemployment and especially youth unemployment. Although certain countries were at the forefront of youth unemployment, 15.3% of young people in the 15- 24 age range are not included in the employment areas. Although this data was very serious, it took down by the European Union following the process more closely but the desired threshold wasn't reached yet. In the 2020 Strategy Document of the European Union, the opinions on the inclusion of young people in the fields of employment were expressed under the title “Youth on the move" and the decision was taken to adopt innovative approaches to increase the employment rates among the youth. In our partner countries; the Czech Republic, Republic of Northern Macedonia, Lithuania, and Romania; Our partners conducted their activities especially for the youth with limited opportunities; in the focus group studies conducted with our partners before the project, the reasons why the youth could not participate in the employment world were examined and the results were evaluated. The results obtained were very similar to internationally recognized data providers such as McKinsey Research Company. Since young people had the aim of "specialization in the field" throughout their education; young people did not realize the importance of social skills such as “communication, time management, crisis management, teamwork, leadership skills that the business world needed. In the same research, those areas were of critical importance and stood out as key competencies that enabled young people to stand out in the challenging labor market. As Aksaray Youth Volunteers, together with our project partners; We decided to carry out our “Explore Your Power, Step Into The Future! Proj project, which could raise awareness of social skills among young people with an innovative perspective on reducing youth unemployment, which was the main development target of the EU. Our objectives in the context of the project subject were that young people from 5 countries : • Developed their skills in 6 key areas: leadership, crisis management, effective communication, problem-solving, time management and presentation skills. • Learnt about platforms that provided free social skills training. • Recognized the importance of social skills in career planning and created a timetable. • Gained the ability to interpret the expectations of employers by sharing the participants' past experiences. • Accelerated the adaptation process to the dynamics and expectations of the business world Besides; • Opportunities were offered through innovative approaches to the employment-oriented personal development of young people in the 18-30 age group who were not in the labor market.
