As a result of the wrong career choice of young people; We decided to do this project because we realized that issues such as leaving the university unfinished, unemployment, inefficiency, and inability to contribute to the economy are experienced not only in Turkey but also in many European countries for different reasons. When choosing our domestic partners; We included two completely different institutions in the project as a result of face-to-face meetings. One of our partners is Florya Tevfik Ercan Anatolian High School (FTEAL). FTEAL is an institution that provides education in Istanbul and accepts students who pass the university entrance exam and succeeded 2-4% level in Turkey. This school is a public school attended by young people whose family education and economic level are average and above according to the conditions of Turkey. Our participants from this school, who were included in our project, is able to go to private teaching institutions, take private lessons during the university and career selection process, and have a high probability of succeeding in the Central University Selection Examination. Our other domestic partner; Turkish Foundation for Children in Need of Protection (KORUNCUK). KORUNCUK is a foundation that works to minimize the negative social impacts that children and young people may face, whose rights are at risk. For this purpose, it carries out preventive, protective and remedial studies. Our participants from Istanbul Bolluca Koruncukköy, who were included in our project, were young people who experienced family deprivation or whose families were unable to take care of the young person and had difficulty in accessing education. When choosing our overseas partners; First of all, we introduced our project through the Salto Youth system and wrote down our expectations from our partners. Our aim was to carry out project partnerships with countries whose socio-economic structure, culture and education system are similar or different to Turkey in order to increase the comparison data and its effects, to enrich the project outputs, and to expand the project dissemination areas. And finally; We decided to carry out the project mutually with Greece - European Voluntary and Educational Center Athens (EVEC), Ukraine - Step Forward, Lithuania - Unique projects. Our project, which received a grant in the 1st Term of 2020, was extended due to the COVID19 Pandemic experienced all over the world, and the mobility date was postponed from July 2020 to July 2022. When we contacted our overseas partners again before the mobility, our Ukrainian partner stated that due to the war in their country, our Lithuanian partner stated that their possible participants' parents don't want their children to go abroad due to the ongoing pandemic, and our Greek partner stated that they had difficulties in finding the participants between the ages of 15-18 that we determined within the scope of the project. So that they left the project saying that they could not be involved in the project. The excuse letters of these partners will be uploaded as a document at the end of the report. For this reason, as a result of the negotiations, Liceo Statale Leonardo from Italy was included in the project, and the number of 30 participants determined at the beginning of the project was shared between our domestic and foreign partners. The main purpose of our project; It was to reveal and evaluate the general and special reasons for the source of the problem, and to create alternative solutions for the solution of the problem with a common mind in the EU dimension. Our specific target for our participants; With cultural dialogue, peer solidarity and workshops to be held within the scope of projects, young people between the ages of 15-18 who are in the process of choosing a university and a profession; To reveal the general and special factors that are positively or negatively affected in the process of choosing a university and profession, to evaluate this situation within the scope of conditions and cultural differences, To develop their awareness so that they can be directed to professions where they can be happy and successful in line with their abilities and wishes, To increase the knowledge, equipment and motivation to set goals and achieve this goal, To ensure that they are part and determinant of the solution process. Thus, we aimed to contribute to the purpose of the EU Erasmus+ program to prevent the growth of problems such as the youth leaving their education life unfinished and the unemployment problem. In addition, our project has been combined with the priorities of the EU Erasmus+ program to provide young people with an international project experience, to raise young people who are qualified in the professional field, to develop a sense of active citizenship among young people, to create more cohesive and inclusive societies, and to recognize different cultures.
