Based on the research we have done and the exchange of information with our partners, we want to better understand how we should use technology more accurately and how this has an impact on our lives, and we also want to be aware of technology addiction and how we can deal with it. We are digital natives so it’s clear that technology plays a significant part in our activities, but sometimes we rather ignore the harmful aspects of technology and we tend to have a technology addiction to our digital devices and social networks. To tackle this project aim, we designed our youth exchange activities around the following specific objectives: O1: To raise awareness of our technology use as young people by having a balanced understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of the internet. Detox programs for technology addicts as a need for mental and physical health are one of the European Commission's youth goals, to reduce/eliminate the addiction by including new methods and participants. O2: To share personal experiences connected to the harmful internet usage with the aim of analysing and proposing solutions to important issues such as fake news, cyberbullying, data protection, general internet digital addiction and online game addiction. These topics coincide with the harmful internet usage issues that the European Parliament also draws attention to. O3: To develop our digital skills in connection with raising our employability and preparing for the current and future labour market needs at European level. Supporting young people rights, awareness and effective use of technology is a requirement of the information and dialogue goal of the European Youth Strategy (Erasmus+ objective). O4: Exploring digital inclusion and how we, as young people, can tackle digital exclusion and promote a safe and inclusive online environment; In this way, the activities are designed to learn new digital methods, tools and platforms for our personal and professional development. O5: To support intercultural interaction and social inclusion by bringing together individuals with different values, beliefs, expectations and culture and by tackling the stereotypes promoted online and through media. This goal is linked to the goal of supporting freedom, equality, democracy, human rights and respect law and cultural diversity and disadvantaged young people in the 2nd article of the European treaty.
