Objectives

Our project named “Strong Futures with Rural Women” was carried out to encourage young women to micro-entrepreneurship by making use of local production. More than half of the population lives in rural areas in many districts of Denizli, where we realized our project, such as Akköy, Babadağ, Buldan, Beyağaç, Çal. The realized goals of our project; - It was ensured that the young people in the project formed a business idea at the end of the workshops and had "Business Action Plans" for 3, 6 and 12 months. Out of 29 participants (18 women, 11 men) from 4 different countries, 13 people were included in our project as unemployed, rural-dwelling and 12 women with limited opportunities. By increasing the visibility of the role models of women entrepreneurs, young women in the countryside were inspired and shown that micro entrepreneurship is a viable and important employment option. -Trainings and seminars were planned for disadvantaged rural women, these people were informed and entrepreneurship was encouraged. In these activities, 29 young people who participated in the project were allowed to take part. - 6 different good practice models that have been successful in rural women's employment in the countries of the partners were shared and their applicability to our province and country was evaluated. -New ideas have been produced to increase the entrepreneurship and employment of rural women in our country and in the EU, these ideas have been presented to decision makers in reports. - "Rural Development Micro Entrepreneurship Program Draft" was created by making use of the workshop outputs, and shared with them to be applied to rural women in cooperation with the Municipality and Public Education Centers. Young people were introduced to the E+ program and the opportunities it offers, enabling intercultural learning and breaking potential prejudices. Our project, which was carried out in Denizli with 29 young people from 4 different countries, contributed to the issue by looking at youth employment from the perspective of rural women. In addition, our project has served to, as stated in the E+ Program Guide, one of the objectives of the mobility projects “Strengthening the synergies and transitions between the workforce and entrepreneurship” and among the general priorities “Promoting the social inclusion and well-being of the youth, especially the projects that tackle the unemployment problem of the youth.
