Background

The ‘Enhancing Employability and Skills through Mobilities’ programme 2020-2022 fits with the Colleges aim to develop learners employability and vocational skills and support their future career development and sustainable participation in the labour market. The programme further aims to support the personal development of learners and provide them with an awareness of other cultures and countries in Europe and broaden opportunities for their future working and social lives. Due to the worldwide pandemic the mobility activity that was origianlly planned for the mobility programme over 2021 and Spring of 2022 was unable to take place due to the restrictions in our own country and also restrictions within the recieivng countries and Host institutions. We were only able to re-establish our international mobility programme in the Autumn of 2022. In November 2022 we recruited 4 Hospitality students from our Pailsy and Clydebank Campuses to participate in a 2 week placement programme in Denmark with our partnerns at Aarhus Tech. The mobility programme has supported 4 students currently studying level 5/Higher National Diploma in Hospitlaity along with a staff mobility including the Curriculum Quality Leader form Paisley.
