The main objectives we wanted to achieve from this project were: 1. A better understanding of the teaching strategies and pedagogy used by coaches at the highest level. To understand, see and feel what this is like on a daily basis in their environment. 2. To develop the learners understanding of and appreciation for other cultures. To immerse themselves in the food, language, society and customs of another European country. 3. To develop our staff to be able to have greater impact beyond the time spent on this mobility so that many more learners could benefit from it.
We applied for this project to give our learners a life changing experience. The project allows them to see the highest levels of their chosen vocation. It allows them to experience another culture. The project gives them a much better understanding of the realities of the profession - both good and bad. But quite simply, the project delivers an experience that will impact them through their career, but just as importantly for their personal development.
