We wanted to expand our network, learn more about VET, improve our staff performance by making them more motivated and most importantly, enable our trainees to expand their horizons and make themselves more employable.
We originally applied after attending a training course organised by ETEN. We are/were heavily involved in Erasmus plus projects but had never participated in VET. When we became aware of the opportunity to offer our trainees work experience abroad and all that experiences of that can bring it was something we wanted to explore. We had been successful with a previous project application, delayed by Covid, and wanted to establish VET as a core feature of our work. Our intention at the time was to make VET an annual feature and opportunity to our learners.
