Key objectives set out for stakeholders below: Learners At the time of the application we highlighted the critical need for learners to understand the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the core skills (creativity, communication, analytical thinking, emotional intelligence, resilience and adaptability) that would be required to succeed. Our aim was to develop these core skills through social entrepreneurial challenges and work experience with the objective of providing an understanding and base skills for learners to implement as they transition into our new world of work. Staff To enable sustainability of the project and more impact in the area of an Entrepreneurial mindset and future work skills it was paramount that key staff from each consortium member developed an understanding of new practises in the area and felt comfortable in transferring them within their domestic institute. The objective to level up staff in future work understanding, digital skills and entrepreneurial environments. Institutes Finally, for institutes to level up their understanding of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and how to build more robust entrepreneurial curriculum and ecosystems to foster critical skills for staff and learners.
in 2019 Corkscrew and consortium members decided to apply for a further project focusing in the aims of developing a more entrepreneurial mindset for all key stakeholders including learners, staff and at an institutional level. A further aim was to also develop an entrepreneurial approach in a global (including European perspective) as there had been early signs of a move towards a more international context in the wider world of work. Each consortium member had identified a commitment to developing more entrepreneurial approaches at a systemic level to ensure learners were able to thrive and not just survive as we pass into the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The institutes also highlighted a greater need for CPD for staff in the area of entrepreneurship to enable a more robust approach in line with their strategic goals. The project was the perfect way to enhance the key skills and knowledge to allow all stakeholders to navigate the rapidly evolving of work, and education within a global framework. At the time of application we could not have perceived the upcoming changes inflicted by the global pandemic and only brought the aims and objectives of our project to the forefront of what is needed across education in our new world.
