We sought to achieve providing skills development and employer experiences that largely relate to identified vocational areas of study in which Learners will gain practical experience and put the theoretical elements of their studies into practice; expanding understanding of workplace practices in other cultures and developing independence skills and confidence.
East Sussex College Group applied for this project to provide exceptional workplace and employer opportunities to students at the college. These students would not have these opportunities were it not for this programme. For many, it was the first time travelling to Europe without their families and gave them the experience of cultural and work placement activities. The personal benefits to students was also considered to be of importance as students could gain independence skills and confidence and raise their aspirations about what opportunities they could `pursue in their future careers.
