Objectives

The main objective was to provide students and staff at BTC qualitative mobilities that would support their vocational, professional, and personal skills development in a way that will benefit not only them but BTC and future employers. Its aim was to foster personal development by building relationships, promoting independence, and honing problem-solving skills. Knowledge and skills were deepened through practical experiences across European countries, encouraging independent learning. Digital skills were inadvertently developed during mobility, enhancing critical evaluation of digital tools (e.g. getting familiar with apps, and webpages supporting the mobilities). Another objective was to improve language proficiency. This was improved through cross-cultural communication and learning phrases in the host country's language. Staff-specific goals included understanding project-based learning's impact, insights into collaborations with the business community, adapting to digital tools, and building staff relations for future collaboration. They also learned to critically review and evaluate their and BTC’s methodologies of working as they got to compare how other organisations addressed these issues.
