The Youth Exchange “Our Planet, our Future – Fighting climate change together” brought together 36 participants from 6 countries (UK, Italy, Austria, Greece, Cyprus, and Romania). Partners of the project wanted to find young people who are involved and engage with Climate change. They wanted young adults who would be able to go on and share the skills and knowledge from the training in Cyprus. Partners goal was to encourage and engage as many young people as they could so they take the ownership of Climate change and the impact it is having currently. Global warming is become an emergency instead of a need. Therefore, the sooner the younger generation are involved on this matter, the faster the situation will improve. The aim of the seven days training was to raise awareness among young people on the topic of climate change. This would be done by providing skills and reflections on an eco–friendly lifestyle. The main aim of the project was to provide young people all around Europe an opportunity to get to know more about different ecological issues. As well as this, to raise awareness about today’ s problem of environmental issues and the importance of an eco-lifestyle. The participants who took part in the training were also able to acquire and develop skills, abilities, and positive attitudes for an active engagement in society and in protecting the environment. The following were the objectives of the training: -To build knowledge on Climate Change science through theoretical and practical approaches. -To encourage participants to further make use of social media to promote and campaign for a more eco–friendly attitude. -Creating a space to share experiences and good practices and learn from others, promoting further interactions, networking, and partnerships. -To break social and economic barriers through inclusion and tolerance. -Increase interest and familiarity with Erasmus + programs and European values.
