"Connect & Respect" project was developed within the partnership of six organizations from Europe: United Kingdom, Romania, Spain, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Greece, that had the common objectives of promoting social and cultural dialogue, integration and cooperation. We developed the project to tackle the actual problems of today's society related to diversity and multiculturalism. On one hand, we must express our own believes and identity, on the other, we must live in harmony with people around us, being understanding and opened to other points of view. Through international youth exchanges we can contribute to our communities, educating young people on importance of diversity and multiculturalism, promoting mutual understanding and respect, thus building a more cooperative and inclusive society. We have settled the following objectives to be achieved during the project period: 1. To educate project participants on multiculturalism, to promote diversity and inclusion in our communities through inspiring videos that are to be developed as a result. Our target was to obtain 3000 video views. 2. To set the grounds for an open inter ethnic and inter religious dialogue and to further promote it online and offline through workshops, seminars, online discussion groups. The target was to inform 900 young people. 3. To raise awareness on the risks of radical behaviors and promote respectful attitudes through the organization of flash mobs, distribution of brochures. Our target was to inform 6000 young people online and offline.
