Objectives

Since the the financial crisis in Europe we observe the natural increase in the unemployment rate and it especially among young people.Eurostat reports in January2019 for the last few years rate of over35% in Spain, 25% in Bulgaria and over 30% in Italy, 11.4 in UK and the highest one in EU-over 40% in Greece.Currently, about 2 of every 4 young people can not find work, and hasincreased the percentage of the youth belonging to "zero category", ie neither study nor work or so called NEET. By eUROFONDdata of 2018, 14.2% of the population aged 15–29 are NEETs. This is threatening andcan lead to huge social problems, and consequently political instability is Europe.Mreover, for youth that fell into group ofNEET there are many other concerns-the posibility of social exclusion and even yotuh radicalization as a result of theexclusion. The possibility of "lost generation" of Europe is a major concern of the European institutions and we by Erasmus +program are trying to contribute to tackle this issue trough volunteering. The proposal aims to introduce participants and local youth with these problems but also propose alternatives tosolve, and it mostly by volunteering as a method of acquiring skills and additional qualifications to enhance the competitiveness of the youth in labor market. Our project will include mostly young people who are unemployed for a long timelooking for work, but not enough qualified. The project will introduce youth the new possibility to acquire skills which can them in their way to find employment opportunities.Since volunteering remains underdeveloped in some countries, we woud like to present it as a valuable method for acquiring skills and experience to be used by youth to become successful in labour market. Since the target group isspecific and certainly not random, we have studied its needs based on the experience of the partners. We aim to introduce volunteering-how and what skills are acquired, how are validated at national and EU level, how to become volunteers ondifferent levels in relation also to employability skills, the meaning of soft skills and how important they are for finding a jobnowadays. All these we believe will help them to improve their competence in the future and be able to find work more easily. The overall aim of the project is to present volunteering as a tool for acquiring skills and competences to help youth in their career development. Objectives: -to help youth understand what employability skills are and to recognize the importance of soft skills -to raise awareness on the value and benefits of volunteering in terms of acquring skills and competences -to raise awareness on opportunities for volunteering on national and EU level thus boost the development of youth, especially those with fewer opportunities The youth will get acquainted with the situation in different countries, the methods of the European institutions to tackle youth unemployment, strategies and Erasmus+ and more about the ESC as an opportunity to gain experience and acquire competences. This exchange will inspire youth and give them confidence that they can deal with the problem, it will open up new horizons will trigger interest in mobility and volunteering on local and international leel and thus increase their further development.Another goal of the project is to build tolerance and understanding between young people from different countries and the ability to work in a multicultural environment, which again are very valuable. The project will involve youth from specific target groups, will inspire and empower them, wil give them another perspective of acquring skills, and sense of belonging by embracing the value of volunteering-being part of something bigger. The impact will be the most significant on those youth from the group OF NEET, those with less skills and those who have not been part of Erasmus mobilities-by the information and skills they will get theit personal and professional development ill be boosted The project will be a learning platform for the participants and will enable them develop a lot of new skills, knowledge and competences. The most important effect, in our opinion, is self-awareness, rethinking our own role as part of civil society -participants will think about their actions, about their role in the society, volunteering as a value and way to be part of civil society. It will be important for them to realize that everyone has the power to make a change for other and for themselves-they will feel empowered, they will believe in their potential to further develop trough volunteering and will thus convey this message to their peers.. Participants will get acquainted with Erasmus + in more detail, and will be encouraged to organize their own exchanges and activities to engage more young people and to stimulate their personal development. In the long run, we believe that the project will have a positive impact on young people personal and even career develoment.
