Objectives

The project idea was developed against the background of diverse societal challenges across the EU. Social cohesion across Europe is threatened by populism, polarisation and hate speech, These tensions, intolerance and even acts of violence in societies are often based on the fear of meeting and living together with people from other backgrounds. Secondly, The main concern for many young people today is the increase of exclusionary ideologies and xenophobic atmosphere within the EU societies, Moreover, the refugee crisis from the last few years in Europe increased the number of far-right extremists groups and nationalist parties, which seriously question the ideal image of Europe as a place of freedom and security in recent years. The profound feelings of injustice and frustration about their social exclusion are amongst the main root causes contributing to young people; vulnerability, and increase their willingness to adhere to extremist, sometimes violent groups, which offer an apparent social purpose to them. In view of these challenges, we reached out to young people with fewer opportunities including refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants; in order to widen their views on the topic of Integration, migration, and immigration and prevent the recruitment of vulnerable into radicalization, extremism and make them more tolerant and acceptable toward differences and give them the competence to address the problem in society. to promote the idea human rights of migrants should be respected. Objectives of the project are - To foster and develop a sense of European identity and feelings in young people and young workers. - To raise awareness of the issue of extremism and radicalization of young people and the role of young people in preventing them; - To encourage young people to come together from different backgrounds and discover ‘Europe’ through guided youth-led activities, effective information debates and the development of youth media on a variety of topics - To empower young people to take responsibility for sharing in decision-making.
