Objectives

Summer meeting with workshops for young people at Wildschönau in Tyrol. Over a period of 24 months during two summer meetings, young people try to reflect on the change in the world and create radio broadcasts. They come from different social and family backgrounds and try to enter into a dialogue together and give themselves emancipatory word and space in the ether. This is achieved through continuity and self-organised workshops. In this way, the participants deal with change processes in a very creative way. The method of radiomaking as a free form (whether creative or journalistic) creates an active reflection platform that requires no literacy in the languages used as an oral medium. Participants are free to use different languages (translations are planned) and are actively encouraged to assume their role as actors. The young people are encouraged to address changes in their lives, other participants and themselves over the long period of 24 months. At the end of the process, radio broadcasts and creative works are to be created, some of which were collectively produced and the young people will be strengthened in their role as actors in society. Not the radio broadcasts but the medium as support for a successful personality development is in the foreground, the handling of feelings and bodies are strengthened.
