Objectives

YouthProAktiv is an international coalition of more than 57 national organizations all over the European Union and beyond working on the youth sector. Our national members work on daily basis with the youth ensuring the empowerment of young people through non-formal education by enhancing their employability, their personal and professional skills and competencies and their civic and social participation through a true understanding of their European identity and of EU values. With a strong social vocation and due to the different social crises that Europe is currently facing, the coalition is especially focused on reaching the most disadvantaged youth at the national level and ensuring their full inclusivity and empowerment through the professional preparation of the youth workers that work and engage with them. Many of our national members lack in many cases deep knowledge and experience on how to successfully identify, apply and report within the Erasmus + program what hampers their real opportunities to maximize their work with disadvantaged youngsters. This project started, following the success of our already implemented project “Erasmus+ and innovative methodologies for the empowerment of youth work” focused on the KA1 of the Erasmus+ program, from the direct request of our national members. Encouraged by the positive results and multiple benefits of the previously mentioned training, they requested similar capacitation that would focus on the KA2 of the Erasmus+ program and its opportunities towards the empowerment of the disadvantaged young people they work with. This way, the three main general objectives of this training for youth workers were: - Increase the specific knowledge of youth workers about the Erasmus+ program to ensure the professionalization of youth work and youth work impact within society. - To increase youth workers' knowledge and practice specifically on KA2 projects. - To increase the specific knowledge of youth workers about the Erasmus+ program actions and tools that can be used for their work with disadvantaged young people. The training was also following this set of specific objectives: - Improve the professional competences of youth workers equipping them with the skills, non-formal methodologies and working methods needed in order to successfully implement their activities in the youth work sector. - Equipping youth workers and youth organizations with a deep understanding of the common values inspiring the Erasmus+ program increasing their chances to successfully reach and include the most disadvantaged youth and contribute through non-formal education to the creation of a more inclusive European society. - Increase the quality of youth work ensuring that the available tools and means to develop their work are successfully used and implemented. - Ensuring the creation of a space for the exchange of best practices that will help them to identify successful initiatives/ projects in favor of their main disadvantaged young target groups. - Increasing the capacity of national youth organizations to operate transnationally and ensuring the establishment of strong and long-lasting partnerships among them. The Erasmus+ program through its KA1 was conceived as the perfect way to conduct this project that was mainly aiming to support the professional development of youth workers, through the implementation of a transnational training course. The training counted with the expertise of external trainers and coaches specialized on Erasmus+ funds youth projects but also counted on the constant involvement of both partner organizations and participating youth workers throughout the whole duration of the project. This way, we ensured that they increased their knowledge and skills to design, execute and disseminate successfully and professionally an international project from the beginning till the end and to increase the real impact on their daily work with young people
