Objectives

With this "hybrid" exchange project, our partner organisations and we wanted to encourage intercultural dialogue between the young people from the different European countries. The young people from 3 partner countries Netherlands, Croatia and Poland were physically present, the young people from Germany and Estonia only participated in the activities that could take place in a hybride form. Some events such as the opening and closing were streamed through Facebook live and could be thus followed online from their living rooms. This third youth exchange, again took place during the Filem'On festival in Brussels .The context of the film festival in the autumn holidays is a lively and interesting context that appeals to young people and encourages informal learning. The young people could ask questions to the directors, journalists, policy makers, other children and young people etc.... Young people are often strongly interested by images, film and all kinds of media, so we started from their own interests to motivate them to actively participate and make them even more media literate! The visual language is also a universal language that we use for this project to achieve intercultural dialogue between young people from different countries. achieve.... Young people need to be heard and be really involved. The young people were invited to make their own films, photos and vlogs and to be part of the jury, just like the professional jury. This gave the young people their own voice that is taken seriously, as they get to decide which becomes the winning film. The films and photos they made were also shown on a big screen, which enhances self-esteem. Furthermore, we wanted to give young people the chance to further develop their own talents but also challenge them to learn new things. During the exchange, they had the opportunity to present films, create films, organise a party, DJ, do a musical performance and reflect. We guaranteed this differentiated approach by also organising choice-activities in which young people can subscribe to. OBJECTIVES 1.
